  John Henry Buster Karweick, 98, passed away Tuesday April 10th, 2012 following a short illness. He was born December 18, 1913 to the late Sophie (Ries) and Frank Karweick. His family included a sister Mildred, brothers Elmer, Raymond, Norman, Richard and step brother Fred Rasmussen. John and Jane Ritger were united in marriage on September 9th, 1939, and spent 59 years together in Appleton. John was employed by the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad, retiring in 1975. His beloved Jane preceded him in death, passing in 1998. Survivors Include their son, John R. Karweick (special friend Janis Schnabl); three grandsons Michael (Karen) Karweick, Mark Karweick, and Matthew (Kathy) Karweick; 6 greatly loved great-grandchildren: Arron, Ryan, Sarah, Jacob, Jane, and Petra. A Funeral Service will be Monday, April 16, 1:00pm, at the Brettschneider-Trettin-Nickel Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Kurt Kovanen officiating. Friends may visit at the funeral chapel from 11:00am until the time of service. Internment will take place at Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please direct memorial gifts to a charity of your choice in Johns name. Johns family would like extend a special thank you to the neighbors, friends and the staff of Lawrence Hall at Brewster Village for their compassionate care in his time of need.
