  Wlliam R. Resch, Menasha, age 84, passed away on Wednesday evening, August 2, 2006, at his home. Bill was born January 10, 1922, in Menasha the son of the late Joseph and Anne (Rippl) Resch. He married Lucille Thiele on June 10, 1950, in Black River Falls. Bill served his country during World War II in the Marine Corps. He had been employed at P.G. Miron Company for 38 years, retiring in 1984. Bill was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and he enjoyed fishing and gardening. Bill is survived by his wife, Lucille, his children: Daniel (Maurine) Resch, Blythe, GA; Joseph (Mary) Resch, Menasha; Gerard (Julie) Resch, Greenville; Philip (Denise) Resch, Green Bay; Ann (Richard) Brecklin, Appleton; Nancy (Joseph) Drexler, Appleton; Elizabeth (Daniel) Weiland, New London; 17 grandchildren: Margaret, Julie, Jenny, Sarah, Joseph, Jr., Erica, Emily, Cassie, Meagan, Jacqueline, Joseph Jr., Jacob, Amanda, Zachary, Samuel, Jonathon, and Kathryn, also eight great-grandchildren: Charles, Jeremiah, Andrew, Theresa, Mary, Tate, Ryan and Kalli. He is also survived by his brother, Thomas, Neenah; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters: Joseph (Helen), Carl (Norma), Robert (Evelyn) Margaret (Norman) Jensen, Ralph (Mary), Mary (John) Monahan, Bernice Resch, Ethel (Robert) Hoehne. Funeral services for Bill will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2006, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 528 Second St., Menasha, with Father Robert Lexa officiating. Friends and family will be received at the church on Saturday morning from 10 a.m. until the hour of the funeral mass. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established. The family would like to thank Affinity Hospice Care Staff, for their care and support.
