  Karl P. "Skip" Niemuth, Appleton, age 66, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2007, at Theda Clark Hospital. Karl was born August 8, 1940, in Appleton to the late Karl Paul and Doris (Klause) Johnson. Following his father's death, his mother remarried Samuel Niemuth, who then adopted Karl. Karl proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. On December 12, 1969, he was united in marriage to Lucille Strobl. The couple enjoyed 30 years together until her death on February 9, 2000. Karl owned and operated KPN Corporation that did business as Rocket Sewer and A-Alectro Sanitation. He was a very avid hunter and fisherman, and his home was decorated with many trophies from his hunting and fishing trips. He was also an active member of the Grand Chute Lions Club for many years. Karl will be sadly missed by his four children: Kenneth Niemuth, Appleton; Kristine (Vincent) Keahey, Phoenix, AZ; Kara (Scott) Olmstead, Neenah; and Karl "Bubba" Niemuth II, Appleton; seven grandchildren (plus one on the way): Melissa (Mitchel) Marquardt, Vincent Keahey, Monique Keahey, Whitney Niemuth, Brandon Grosskreutz, Thaniel Olmstead, and Ayla Olmstead; four great-grandchildren: Stevie Keahey, Hunter Marquardt, Dax Keahey, and Santana Andrade; a sister, Karen Van Lyssel, and brother, Robert Niemuthl; his fiancee Kaaren Shortley, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. A Funeral Service for Karl will be held 5 p.m. Monday July 30th at the Brettschneider-Trettin-Lederer Funeral Chapel, with the Pastor Chema Paba officiating. Complete military honors will follow. Friends may call at the funeral chapel on Sunday from 4 - 8 p.m., and also on Monday from 4 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Appleton. The family has established a memorial fund. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Theda Care Medical Center for their warm and caring hearts.
