  Clarence was born January 9, 1922 in Kimberly, WI. He passed away peacefully January 12, in Escondido, CA., at age 93. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret. They were married on March 6, 1945. Clarence was a veteran of WWII as he served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1941-1945. The family lived in Kimberly until 1964 when they were transferred to Northern California with Kimberly Clark Corp. Clarence was the second youngest of 13 siblings and the last to survive. His survivors include son. John and daughter-in-law, Cheryl, son. Bill and daughter-in-law, Sandy, son. Tom and daughter-in-law, Mary Joe, and son. Chuck and daughter-in-law, Wendy. Grandchildren include Lori, Tyler, Bradley, Jennifer, and Matthew De Wildt. Clarence was also blessed by two great-grandchildren, Madison and Cameron De Wildt. Clarence was an avid bridge player earning the lifetime masters award. Clarence has resided in Poway for the past 15 years, including the last eight at Gateway Retirement Home. A service was held at Gateway on January 16. He is buried alongside Margaret at Dearborn Cemetery in Poway.
