  Annabel A. Haun;SPARTA, Wis. - Annabel A. Haun, 84, of Sparta, passed away Saturday, Sep t, 29, 2001, at her home in Sparta. She was born July 19, 1917, at Clint on Ridge, Vernon County, Wis. to Herman and Clara (Marx) Leis. On May 2 2, 1939, she was united in marriage to Fred "Fritz" Haun at Pine Hollow. A nnabel and Fritz farmed for many years on St. Mary's Ridge, until movi ng to Sparta in 1977. She was a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic Chur ch in Sparta.She is survived by two daughters, Karen (James) Baus of La Crosse, Wis., a nd Mary (Jack) Mlsna of Mt. Horeb, Wis.; seven sons, Donald (Arlene) of An tioch, Ill., Roger (Barbara) of Portage, Wis., Gerald (Rose) of Cashton, W is., James (Toni) of Rockland, Wis., Charles (Indry) of DePere, Wis., Robe rt (Beth) of Sparta, Wis., and Philip (Monica) of Tomah, Wis.; two brother s, Arthur (Alvena) Leis of Cashton, Wis. and Norman (Mickey) Leis of Kenne dale, Texas; 24 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren; other relativ es and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred "Fritz"; fo ur brothers, Edward, Alfred, Arnold and Clarence.Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 6, 2001, 10 a.m. at the St. P atrick's Catholic Church in Sparta. Rev. James Leary, OFM CAP will officia te. Burial will follow in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery at St. Mary's R idge, Wis. Family and friends are invited for visitation on Friday, Oc t. 5, 2001, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a parish rosary at 8 at the Page -Smith Funeral Home in Sparta. Family and friends are also invited for vis itation on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the churc h. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be given to the S t. Patrick's Catholic School in Sparta. The Page-Smith Funeral Home in Spa rta is assisting the family with arrangements.

  Leis - Haun Nuptials At Pine Hollow Church; At a Nuptial High Mass Mond ay Morning at 9 o'clock the marriage of Miss Annabel Leis, daught er of Mr and Mrs Herman Leis Jr, to Fred Haun, son of Mr and Mrs Joseph Ha un, took place at Pine Hollow with the Rev. William Daniels performing t he ceremony. The bride wore a floor-length dress of white lace and a trail ing veil which was held to her head by a cap adorned with seed pearls. S he carried white carnations. The bride chose as her bridesmaid her frie nd Verna Chapiewsky who wore a full skirted dress of blue net with an embr oidered net jacket. Her belt and tiara were pink and she carried pink carn ations. Alfred Leis, brother of the bride, served as best man. He and t he bride groom wore dark suits. Dinner and supper were served at the ho me of the bride's parents to the immediate families, and a Wedding dance w as held at the Community hall in the evening for a large gathering of rela tives and friends. The young couple left for a trip to La Crosse and we nt on up to Winona to visit the Rev Father Haun at St Mary's College and o ther relatives in Winona. The young couple will make their home with Mr Ha un's parents, new St Mary's Ridge.
