  Homer B. Thompson Shiocton Age 96, died peacefully on Thursday, September 2, 1999,at Peabody Manor in Appleton. He was born on September 22, 1902, in the Town of Bovina, the son of Bert and Nora (Valentine) Thompson. On November 29, 1930, he was married to Esther Laird and together they lived and farmed in the Towns of Ellington and Bovina their entire married life. Homer and Esther received a Century Farm Award. He is survived by four daughters and five sons-in-law, 24 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Sykes, New London. Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Esther; a daughter, Ann; a sister, Isla All: a brother, Ralph; and two grandsons. Complete funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 7, 1999 at the Borchardt and Moder Funeral Home in Shiocton with Pastor Michael Isbill officiating. Burial will be in Bovina Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of services.
