Franz, David Lloyd David Lloyd Franz, age 59, of Neenah, passed away unexpectedly early Sunday morning, March 7, 2004 at Theda Clark Medical Center. He was born October 18, 1944 in Neenah, son of Lloyd and Marie (Scheller) Franz. David was married August 19, 1967 to Jane Louise Mayhew. He worked for Kimberly-Clark for 34 years at the Neenah Nonwovens Plant until his retirement four years ago. David was then employed by the Fox Cities Rod and Gun Club. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed making fishing lures for family and friends. David also loved cooking for family and friends as well. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Neenah. David also was a mentor for Big Brothers-Big Sisters group. A loving husband, father and grandfather, he will be sadly missed by his wife, Jane; two daughters: Ann Marie (Dave) Phelps, Neenah; Susan (Marcelo) Garcia Franz, Neenah; four grandchildren: Brittany, Peyton, Ruminahui and Pacha; his mother, Marie Franz; two brothers: Paul (Carol) Franz, Neenah; Phillip (Debi) Franz, Naperville, IL; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 11, 2004, at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, Neenah with Rev. Gordon Lind officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in his name. >Angler's Prayer God grant that I may live to fish, Until my dying day.
