  Merlyn Jones, Kaukauna, age 75, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2009, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. Merlyn was born in Kaukauna on June 25, 1933, son of the late Jerry and Leona (Gast) Jones. For many years he worked in the construction trades. Merlyn is survived by a sister, Eva (Roger) Garton, Kaukauna; a brother, Marvin (Wanda) Jones, Kaukauna; three aunts: Elizabeth Obermeyer, Gretchen Volpe, and Alvina Jansen; his best buddy, Ray Van Dyn Hoven, along with several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Merlyn was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Robert Jones, a niece Karen Jones, and a great-nephew Casey Lee Jones. The Christian Funeral for Merlyn will be held at the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. on Merlyn's birthday, Thursday, June 25, 2009. Rev. Mark Luetzow of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Kaukauna will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
