  Lester John Manteufel, age 91, of Neenah passed away Monday, March 30, 2009, at the Valley VNA. He was born February 12, 1918, in the Town of Clayton, son of the late John and Ella (Luebke) Manteufel. He married Ruth Borchert on September 27, 1941, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clayton. She preceded him in death on February 19, 2000, after 59 years of marriage. Lester farmed in the Town of Clayton all of his life. He was a lifelong member of Immanuel Evangelical Church of Clayton. Lester is survived by a daughter, Yvonne (Eugene) Biettler, Neenah; two sons: Lyal Manteufel, Fond du Lac; Donald (Juli) Manteufel, Shiocton; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Huebner, Neenah; and his nephews. A funeral service for Lester will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2009, at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3703 W. Fairview Road, Neenah, with the Rev. Dale Zweig officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in his name.
