  Eugene "Gene" Tellock, 80, Appleton, died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008, at Rennes Health Center in Appleton, due to complications of cancer. Gene was born Jan. 26, 1928, in Greenville, Wis., son of the late Leah and Emil (Leppla) Tellock. On June 19, 1954, he was united in marriage to Marlene Blank in Oshkosh, Wis. She preceded him in death in 1995. Gene was employed by Courtney & Plummer in Neenah, where he worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He also worked for Landwehr & Hackel, Appleton Asphalt and Murphy's. Gene served his country with the United States Army. Gene is survived by his sons, Jeff (Janet) Tellock, Medina; and Joel (Barbara) Tellock, Glendale Heights, Ill. He is further survived by his grandson, Zachary; as well as many friends and relatives. The funeral service for Gene will be Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clayton, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dale Zwieg officiating. Friends and family are invited to call at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service and also Monday evening at the Borchardt & Moder Funeral Home in Hortonville, from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will take place at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Greenville. The family wishes to thank the staff at Rennes for the wonderful care shown to Gene during his stay. Borchardt & Moder Funeral Home 109 W. Main St.
