  Alice A. Richter, age 91, of Chilton, died on Tuesday, April 3, 2007, at her home. She was born December 10, 1915, in the Town of New Holstein, daughter of the late Harry and Tena (Boll) Martin. Education was very important to Alice. She attended school at Lincoln State Grade School, graduated from New Holstein High School, went to Manitowoc Rural Normal and later to Oshkosh State Teacher College. Alice later taught at Wilson School in Hayton, Longfellow School in the Town of Brillion, and Lincoln School in the Town of New Holstein. In 1945, she went to work at People's State Bank and in 1950, she began work at New Holstein Utilities. On July 12, 1952, she married Floyd Richter in Sheboygan. The couple worked side by side on their farm in the Town of Chilton for 13 years before moving to Millhome. Alice came back to Chilton and worked for Atty. Edward Eick and, later, she worked 14 years for the Wisconsin Public Service until her retirement in 1981. Floyd preceded her in death in July of 1989. Alice was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, formerly St. Mary's, the Christian Women, GUG Society, Chilton Senior Citizens, Calumet County Teacher's Organization, the Manitowoc Rural Normal's Retired Teachers and the American Cancer Society. Survivors include her two daughters: Linda (Daniel) Zwicky of Fond du Lac, Sharon (Joseph) Pribyl of Mishicot; three grandchildren: Michelle Zwicky, Andrew and Alex Pribyl; a sister, Grace Sukowaty; and a brother, Harry G. (Lucille) Martin. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Chilton. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Wieting Family Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
