  Arthur C. Vian SPARTA, Wis. - Arthur C. Vian, 73, of Sparta died Monday, April 23, 200 1, at Franciscan Skemp Healthcare, Sparta. He is survived by his wife, Ver neta "Cookie" Vian of Sparta; his children, Dennis (Alice) Vian of Forestv ille, Wis., Ronald (Roseann) Vian of Sparta, Thomas (Jill) Vian of Spart a, Vicki (Bruce) Olson of Sparta; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildre n; his mother, Serena Vian of Sparta; and a brother, Kenneth Vian of We st Salem, Wis.He was preceded in death by his father, Charles; a sister, Rose Erickso n; a brother, August; and a grandson, Darin.Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Cathol ic Church, Sparta, with the Rev. James Leary O.F.M. Cap. officiating. Buri al with full military honors provided by the Wisconsin Department of Veter ans Affairs, Military Funeral Honors Program, will be in St. Patrick's Cat holic Cemetery.Friends may call at the Lanham-Miller Funeral Home, Sparta, Thursday fr om 5 to 8 p.m. and at the funeral home Friday from 8 to 9:45 a.m. There wi ll be a prayer service at the funeral home at 8 p.m. Thursday.
