  Marcella G. Lenz, 97, of Chilton, passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Atrium Post Acute Care Center in Chilton. Marcella was born September 30, 1918 in Wisconsin, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Lauer) Heimerl. Marcella married Elmer Lenz on June 9, 1943 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hilbert; he preceded her in death on March 6, 1990. She was a homemaker her whole life, but in her free time she was found tending to her gardens, spending quality time with her family, and regularly reading. Marcella was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, formerly St. Mary Parish where she also volunteered time with the Christian Women and went to the Adoration Chapel for many years. Survivors include her seven children, Jerry (Shirley) Lenz of Green Lake, Shirley (Mike) Schmitz of Chilton, Sandra (Stephan) Itnyre of Austin, TX, James (Marilyn) Lenz of Pulaski, Ronald Lenz of Menasha, Mary Sullivan (special friend, Steve Welke) of La Crosse, and Daniel Lenz of Maplewood, MN; fifteen grandchildren; Tom (Kim) Lenz, Donna (Felix) Fudge, Brian (Kristin) Lenz, Brad (Julie) Lenz, Shelly (Fr. Tom) Janikowski, Laura Thiel, Kelly (Terry) Owens, Brett (Ashley) Schmitz, Mark (Angie) Itnyre, Luke (Amy) Itnyre, Ann (Mark) Cichanowski, Chris (Sheri) Lenz, Jared (Brooke) Lenz, Stephanie (Joe) Spaulding, and Corey (Heidi Ihrke) Sullivan; thirty-four great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. In addition to her parents, and husband, Elmer, Marcella was preceded in death by an infant sister, Josephine; three sisters; Henrietta (William) Knepfel, Florence (Alfred) Hoerth, and Delores (Roman) Hoerth; and two brothers, Francis (Emma) Heimerl and Ralph (Florence) Heimerl. Funeral Services will be at 11:30am on Friday, November 6, 2015 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church (54 E. Main Street) in Chilton with the Rev. Ryan Krueger officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Chilton. Friends may call at Good Shepherd Catholic Church from 10:00am to 11:15am on Friday. A memorial fund has been established in the name of Marcella G. Lenz.
