Petit, Leander "Lee" KaukaunaAge 72, died Thursday, August 15, 2002 at St. Paul Manor in Kaukauna.He was born January 28, 1930 in New London, the son of the late Edward a nd Amelia (Wood) Petit. Lee married the former Clare Hooyman on June 9, 19 51. She preceded him in death on March 9, 1996. He was a U.S. Army vetera n, having served our country during the Korean Conflict and was a lifeti me member of VFW Post #3319, Kaukauna. Lee retired from Thilmany Pulp a nd Paper after 39 years of employment. He was a long time member of St. Ma ry's Catholic Church, Kaukauna. He is survived by his children; John (Su e) Petit, Beth (David) Klug; Cheryl (Rick) Hanson; Rene (Mary) Petit; Bru ce (Jean) Petit; Joseph (special friend, Anne Tice); 15 grandchildren: Mel issa, Joshua, and Sarah Petit; Katie and Kyle Klug; Travis, Heather and Ty ler Hanson; Jamie (Stacy) Petit, Sean, Aaron, and Kelly Petit; Jennifer Pe tit, Leah and Cody Petit; a brother and five sisters-in-law: Ray (Helen) P etit, Christina Petit, Ann Petit, Lois Petit and Margaret Petit, a siste r, Luella Van Vonderen, close friends; Dave Kilgas and Ed (Mary Jane) Geig er. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews. Lee was preced ed in death by six brothers and a sister-in-law: Leo, Adrian (Florence), G len, Vernon, Mark and Alvin, a sister and two brothers-in-law: Leone (Haro ld) Heid and Joe Van Vonderen.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Mon day at St. Mary Catholic Church, Kaukauna with Fr. Robert Udulutsch offici ating. Military rites conducted by VFW Post #3319 will immediately foll ow services at the church. Burial in Most Precious Blood Cemetery in New L ondon. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Boettcher Family Fu neral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna and after 10 a.m. Monday direct ly at the church until the time of services. There will be a parish pray er service at 7 p.m. Sunday and the VFW Post #3319 will meet at 6:30 p. m. Sunday.
