I obtained a copy of my grandfather's birth ce rtificate and discovered he is the son of Joseph K and Margaret Toennesse n. There were two Joseph Krautkramers, approximately the same age, from t he same area in Wisconsin, both with sons named George. However, I am rela ted to the "other" (Neenah/Menasha) Krautkramers. Best of luck in your re search and sorry about the confusion! Those are the descendants of Joseph K and Margaret Tennessen. It is spell ed Toennessen on my grandfather's (George K) birth certificate. It is pos sible that it was "Americanized" to Tennessen.My grandfather, George Alois Krautkramer was born Nov. 12, 1906 and di ed in 1968. My mother thinks it was April 1, 1968, but her memory is fogg y, God bless her! Definitely, his death was in the Spring of 1968.How fascinating that you know who the Tennessens are. Where can I find o ut more about these people? The Krautkramer family reunion is this summ er and I will be the hit of the party if I have info on Margaret T, of wh om my grandfather never spoke. My mother and uncles never saw her and did n't even know her name!
