  Kelly Ann Powers, Kaukauna, age 57 died unexpectedly on Monday, July 18, 2016 as the result of a heart attack. Funeral services for Kelly will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at St. Katharine Drexel Parish at St. Mary Church. She was born December 9, 1958 in Kaukauna, WI, daughter of the late Wilfred "Wolfie" and Joan (Kelly) Powers. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Kaukauna. Kelly attended Kaukauna High School and was a graduate of the Madison Business College. She was actively working as a Court Reporter where she was enjoying an exceptional 35-year career. During this time, she worked in the Dane County, Cook County, and Waupaca County Court Systems. She was known as being a true professional and a proud and active member of the National Court Reporters and Wisconsin Court Reporters Associations. Kelly was an avid Packer and Badger fan. She adored and shared stories of her nieces to her closest friends. Kelly was also as an animal lover and was so proud of her late dog Oden whom she referred to as a "handsome man" and her Bassett Gus who she would call "my little baby". Kelly had an amazing personality, smile and her laugh was both adorable and contagious. She was also an extremely generous person donating both her time and money for so many. Her contributions were numerous, and one of the most memorable was where she volunteered her reporting services to the Veterans Project, recording personal accounts of history from veterans, many of whom were wounded and aging. Kelly is survived by her brother Brian Powers of Hortonville; Michelle Powers; her nieces: Brittany and Erin Powers; and many close friends and relatives. Kelly is preceded in death by her parents Wilfred and Joan Powers as well as her infant brother Michael. Funeral services for Kelly will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at St. Katharine Drexel Parish at St. Mary Church, 119 W Seventh Street, Kaukauna, with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating.
