  Lester John Spranger (January 22, 1908 - October 18, 1975) Lester John Spranger, age 67, Eland, died October 18, 1975 at Langlade Memorial Hospital, Antigo. He was born January 22, 1908 in the town of Elderon, the son of the late Mathias and Antonetta (VanDeHey) Spranger. On October 23, 1937 he married Verna Podjaski in Wittenberg. She survives. In addition to his wife, Lester is survived by 4 brothers, Raymond, Eland, Orville, Wittenberg, Lyman, Wittenberg and Herbert, Hatley; 3 sisters, Lillian VanWettering, Chicago, Verna Lukasko, Eland and Adala Grissman, Eland. He was preceded in death by 1 brother, Norman. Funeral services were held October 20, 1975 at St. William Catholic Church, Eland. The Rev. Claude Zabinski officiated. Interment was in Holy Family Catholic Cemetery, Wittenberg.
