Murphy, Marietta "Dot"Marietta "Dot" Murphy, 94, died Tuesday, May 6, 2003, at a local nursing h ome. Dot Murphy, the former Marietta C. Maloney, was born Dec. 18, 190 8, in Green Bay. Her parents were John and Mary Maloney. Dot was o ne of 13 children. She graduated from St. Patrick Grade School and St. Jos eph Academy in Green Bay. On June 28, 1934, Dot married Patrick D. Murph y, who died in 1956. Dot's primary responsibility was managing a wonderf ul household for her family. She had early employment at St. Mary's Hospit al. She later had the pleasure of working for two of her favorite nephew s, John Manley at Maloney Manley Furniture and Patrick Mahoney at Tosca, L td. as Office Manager. She thoroughly enjoyed living next door to her frie nd, Frances "Mac" McLaughlin for 35 years. Grandma Dot always looked forwa rd to the annual Christmas Eve party with all of her family.She is survived by three sons, Patrick (Margaret) Murphy, Michael (Lonni e) Murphy and Terrance (Carol Deprey) Murphy; two daughters, Mary Ellen (G ary) Brozek and Kathleen Coutley-Murphy; her grandchildren, Colleen (Cla y) Logan, Maureen (Dan) Raisleger, Kelly Murphy and her fiance, Michael Co x, Kevin (Vicki) Murphy, Dan (Christine) Murphy, Michael (Terry) Brozek, J oe Brozek, Patti (Jon) Hanson, Tim (Rachel) Murphy, Brian Murphy, Peter (H eidi) Coutley, Shelly (Mike) Maddox, Quinn Coutley and Stephany, Sean Cout ley and his fiancee, Sherry Sikorski; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-gr eat-grandson. Dot is also survived by a brother, Joseph Maloney, Clevelan d, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.Besides her husband, Patrick, Dot was preceded in death by a daughter-in-l aw, Jeanne Murphy; a great-granddaughter, Riley Anne Murphy; 11 brothers a nd sisters; and a special niece, Patricia (Mahoney) Laws.Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 to 8 p. m. Thursday. There will be a Parish Wake Service at 7 p.m. Thursday. Frien ds may also call at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 2040 Hillside La., fr om 10 to 11 a.m. Friday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a .m. Friday at the church with the Rev. David Pleier officiating. Burial wi ll be in Fort Howard Memorial Park.Dot's family thanks the wonderful staff of Rennes Health Care Center, De P ere, Wis. for the love, care, and affection given to her. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
