  Irene E. "Rene" Menge, 87, Green Bay, died Thursday, May 24, 2007. She was born July 30, 1919, in Green Bay, to Anton and Pearl (Symanski) Dombroski. Irene was a graduate of Green Bay East High School, Class of 1937. On January 9, 1940, Irene married Theodore "Ted" Menge in Dubuque, Iowa. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. Irene took pride in her home and was known as a wonderful cook, especially for her apple pies. She loved gardening and canning for her family. Irene and her family loved spending time at their cottage where she enjoyed fishing and playing cards. In her later years, she traveled throughout the United States in her family's motor home. For many years, Irene and Ted enjoyed country western music and dancing. She is survived by her husband, Ted; a son and daughter-in-law, Ted Jr. and Kathy Menge, Appleton; a daughter, Kathy Menge, Green Bay; three grandchildren and their spouses: Ann and Chad DeLuka, Menomonee Falls, and their children, Andrew and Henry; Ellen and Scott Jorgensen, Lakeville, Minn., and their son, Eric; Susan Menge and her fiance, Jon Allen, both of Wauwatosa; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Grace Menge, Racine; Thelma and Ronald Geiger, Jeanne and Howard Lueloff, all of Fond du Lac; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Pearl, Marie, Leona; and a brother, Tony. Friends may call at St. Joseph Catholic Church, corner of 9th St. and 12th Ave., Green Bay, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church with the Rev. Peter Renard O. Praem officiating. Entombment will be in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
