  De Broux, Karl L.Karl L. De Broux, 70, Green Bay, peacefully passed away Sept. 17, 2004, fo llowing a four-year courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Green B ay on Sept. 18, 1933, to the late Albert J. and Julia (Theys) De Brou x. On Sept. 26, 1953, Karl married Fran Vander Bloomen at St. Francis Xavi er Cathedral, and they enjoyed 50 years of marriage together. Karl work ed at James River East for 41 years. He enjoyed spending his nine yea rs of retirement at his beloved cottage near Crivitz.He is survived by his wife Fran; his son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and M ichelle De Broux, his two daughters and one son-in-law, Nancy De Broux, Ja ne and Glen Dickinson, all of Green Bay; his grandsons, Karl Stacie and h is girlfriend Carol Ihde, Kelly Stacie and his fiance Melinda Berg, Der ek De Broux, Dustin De Broux and Kim, Kent Malvitz, Kolt Malvitz; his step -grandsons, Jarrod (Melissa) Dickinson, Joel Dickinson, Justin Dickinso n; step-great-grandson Pacey; step-great-granddaughter Isabella; his sist er La Verne De Broux; his two brothers and sister-in-law Gordon De Brou x, James and Marilyn De Broux, all of Green Bay; and other relatives and f riends.He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Genevieve Darrow, Mi ldred De Broux, Jean Bisick; and his brother, Edwin De Broux.Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 to 8 p. m. Monday. There will be a Parish Wake Service at 7:30 p.m. Monday. Frien ds may also call at St. Jude Catholic Church, 1420 Division St., from 9: 30 - 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a. m. Tuesday at the church, with the Rev. Michael Ingold officiating. Entomb ment will be in Allouez Catholic Mausoleum.The family of Karl L. De Broux wishes to thank the staffs of St. Vincent H ospital 9th floor and 4th floor ICU, and the staff of Green Bay Oncolog y. They would also like to thank Dr. Bayer, Dr. Blank, Dr. Rank, and all w ho assisted Karl.
