  b>Chadek, Richard J. "Dick"Richard J. "Dick" Chadek, of Menasha, age 83, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2007, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton. Dick was born on June 22, 1923, in Appleton, son of the late Joseph and Florence (Heller) Chadek. He graduated from Menasha High School. Dick served his country in the 25th Infantry Division of the United States Army in World War II. He was united in marriage to Evelyn Laurin on July 20, 1957, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Menasha. They were to celebrate 50 years of marriage this July. He worked in Janitorial/Maintenance for the Menasha School District for 25 years. After retiring, he started oil painting and became quite good at it. Dick loved to go trout fishing and he also liked gardening. Dick will be missed by his loving wife, Evelyn; ten nieces and nephews, and several great-nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 13, 2007, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 320 Nicolet Blvd., Menasha, with Fr. Paul Radetski officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Interment will be in St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah. Military Rites will be performed at the cemetery by American Legion William Verhagen Post #60 of Kimberly. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Dick's name.
