  Dorothy M. Tomsyck, New London, age 86, died on Monday, December 18, 2006, at St. Joseph Residence in New London. Dorothy was born on October 27, 1920, in Wisconsin Rapids, daughter of the late John and Mary (Jagodzinski) Tomsyck. She attended St. Joachim's Grade School in Pittsville; and graduated from Pittsville High School in 1937. Although Dorothy never married, she was like a mother to her sixteen nieces and nephews. She always remembered birthdays and anniversaries of not only her nieces and nephews, but also her grand-nieces and nephews. Dorothy had a great love for the Green Bay Packers and attended the Ice Bowl. She worked in the banking industry her entire professional life, while also serving as caregiver to her parents until their deaths. Dorothy retired from New London Savings & Loan in 1983. She was a member of the Palmer-Ritchie-Thomas American Legion Auxiliary in Pittsville for 69 years. Dorothy was also a long time faithful member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London. Dorothy is survived by a sister, Joan Leahigh, Albuquerque, New Mexico; a brother in-law, Thorval Franson, Kewaunee; two sister's in-law: Josephine Tomsyck, Pittsville; and Kelly Tomsyck, Greenville, SC; 16 nieces and nephews and also numerous grand-nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by a brother John, her twin brother Donald and a sister Mae. A Funeral Mass for Dorothy will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2006, at 11 a.m., at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London with Fr. David Lewis officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London on Wednesday, from 4-7 p.m.; a 6:30 p.m. prayer service will be held.
