  Sheila Elizabeth Weber (Hurley), 74, Allouez, was surrounded by her family when Jesus came and took her home on Monday, July 28, 2008. She celebrated 51 years of marriage, with the love of her life, Thomas Weber, who preceded her in death just eight months ago. While grieving the death of her husband, Sheila was diagnosed with six inoperable brain tumors. Her faith, courage, and strength awed and humbled the people that knew her. She never questioned God's plan, making it bearable for all of us to move forward each day, not imagining what lie ahead. She bravely surrendered, putting complete trust in God and us to care for her. Never complaining, she survived with grace and dignity. Her great sense of humor was always present, her laugh contagious. Sheila lived with hope and gratitude for this life God chose for her. As a wife, a mother, and a friend, she was loving, encouraging, and fiercely loyal. Sheila was truly unselfish, never making it about herself but everyone else. She was tireless as a mother, we never saw her sit down. As her children, we always felt totally and equally loved. Her patience was endless. She made everything a big deal. Little things meant a lot, like not waiting to use the good china for company. Throwing a party, she made it look easy and loved doing it. She was the best baker and cook. Her love of sewing, quilting, and redecorating showed how creative she was. Sheila loved to travel and got to see much of the world. She was compassionate and kind. Sheila loved huge, and was loved enormously in return. Her life had incredible purpose - to show others how to live by her awesome example. She lived her life beautifully. Sheila was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Marie Hurley, and is survived by her nine children and their families, Jeanne (Gene) Bankers, Julie (Michael) Swan, Elizabeth (Robert) Dolan, Thomas (Lydia) Weber, Amy Weber (Bill Vander Kelen), Margaret (Tom) Pargulski, Tim (Monica) Weber, Sheila (Patrick) Ferron, Martin Weber (Jen Olsby) and her much loved 13 grandchildren, Erin, Caitlin, Maddie, Tony, Hannah, Cali, Azariah, Jude, Joseph, Matthew, Ben, Meg, and Mya. "We love you Grammy and Grampy, all the way to HEAVEN and back ..." Mom, there will be darkness no more, for now you will be able to see, hear, and walk once again, with Dad back by your side. Each day with you was a gift and a privilege. We cannot imagine our tomorrows without you. We are broken, but will continue to be strong with God's help, as a family.
