  Alice Margaret Rausch, 101, died Sept. 10, 2008, at Theda Clark Medical Center, Neenah, Wis. She was born to Louis and Edna (Russell) Rausch on July 3, 1907, in Neenah. She graduated from Neenah High School in 1925 where she participated on the first organized girls' basketball team. She worked for the Equitable Reserve Association (ERA) for 20 years and the Kimberly-Clark Corp-oration for over 24 years. She had been a bookkeeper for K-C and participated in the company's conversion from manual to computerized record keeping. Alice became the guardian of the three sons of her brother Kenneth and his wife, Lydia (Klaeser) in 1967. She was also the designated guardian of the three children of her brother George and his wife, Donna (Hahn), during George's military service. Alice was a member of St. Margaret Mary's parish. She served on the Family Service Committee for many years and served as president for several years. Until recently when her health declined, she had created thousands of needlecraft pocket prayer cards as gifts for our Christian servicemen and women serving throughout the Middle East. Alice was a member of the Theda Clark Auxiliary for over 33 years, the Neenah Historical Society, the Bergstrom-Mahler Museum, the original Dial-a-Ride Committee for the City of Neenah, and the Equitable Reserve Association Assembly No. 1 as secretary for 19 years and president for two years. Surviving relatives include nephews, Brian, Jim, John, and Tom Rausch, and David Hinks; nieces, Susan Augustitus and Darla Fiene; grandnieces and grandnephews; sister-in-law, Donna (Hahn) Rausch, Madison; and cousin, Harry Russell, Minneapolis, Minn. Alice was one of God's special people whose lifelong task it was to give of herself. She would tell you that throughout her life she was the recipient of many kindnesses and blessings, and much support and care provided by neighbors, friends and family, enabling her role of the blessed giver to be passed on to many others. Those fortunate enough to have known her well are certain she rests with the saints, in the company of her loving Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 620 Division St., Neenah, with the Rev. Michael L. Ingold officiating. A luncheon will follow the services in Friendship Hall of the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church are suggested.
