  Winneconne News, Jan. 29, 1975: "Henry L. Hoffman, 85, Route 1, Winneconne died at 5:45 p.m. Sunday at Theda Clark Hospital in Neenah. Born January 6,1890 in the Town of Winchester, he resided in the Winneconne area most of his life. He was married to the former Sophia Ristow on August 11,1920 in the Town of Omro. He was engaged in farming. He was a member of the Town of Winneconne volunteer fire department and had served the Tow of Winneconne as supervisor. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Gertrude) Marten, Appleton and Mrs. Harold (Florence) Chase, West Allis; a son, Arthur Hoffman, Route 1, Winneconne; a stepbrother, Carl Zellmer, Winneconne; a stepsister, Mrs. Florence Acheson, Baraboo; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. The Rev. John Hoenecke conducted funeral services at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church. Burial was in the Winneconne Cemetery. Casket bearers were Paul Yost, Walter Woizeski, William Ristow, Willis Ristow, Harvey Ristow and Gerald Ristow. Name: Henry L.
