  Bohl, Donald Arthur - Mr. Bohl, 86, of Charlotte, died Friday, January 30, 2009, at The Stewart Health Center, The Cypress of Charlotte. He was born October 12, 1922, in Appleton, WI, to the late Charles Bohl and Mae Wolfram Bohl. Appleton was his home until High School graduation when he attended Valparaiso University in South Bend, Indiana. Upon early graduation, he served in the Army Infantry. After the war, Donald attended N. Western University and The University of Wisconsin for a Masters Degree. Moving to Davenport, Iowa, he helped to establish the first TV station in that city. In 1952 he moved to NYC and became a director of TV Games shows for Goodson-Tod-man. In 1954, Donald married Dorothy Ruth Zierick. They had three daughters and left NY to live for 26 years in FL. He helped put the first Christian TV Station on the air in Miami, FL. He also planned and hosted many trips to Israel for Derek Prince Ministries. In 1991, he moved to Cashiers, NC, and then to Charlotte in 2000. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; daughter, Beth of Charlotte and daughter Amy of Jackson, Mississippi as well as three grandchildren. A Memorial Service for Mr. Bohl will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, February 2, 2009, in the Cypress Community Hall with the Rev. Tom Kakadelis officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.TH Robertson Funeral Service Lic. is serving the family.
