  Robert G. West, age 66, of Hortonville, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2009, at home following a 2-year journey with cancer. He was born on January 13, 1943, in Milwaukee, son of the late Gerald and Ruth (Schneider) West. On November 14, 1964, Bob was united in marriage to Susan Plecha. Bob worked in Milwaukee till 1979 when he moved his family to Hortonville and purchased the Country Club with his brother and his family. He then was employed with Appleton Papers till his retirement in November 2000. He then found his perfect job working for the Hortonville School District. Bob enjoyed golfing, traveling, and visiting his grandchildren. Bob is lovingly survived by his wife Sue; two daughters: Donna (Rob Reeleder) West, Surrey, B.C.; Victoria (West) Barachy, New Berlin, WI; grandchildren: Kendall and Aaron Barachy and Brady Reeleder; sister, Jo Ann Czerwinski, Atlanta, GA; and brother, Mickey West, Milwaukee, WI. Bob is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and his special "Bay View" Friends. A memorial mass will be held in Hortonville at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church on Saturday March 14, 2009, at 11 a.m. Family and friends may call at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Bob's name. The family offers a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Gunther, Dr Ray and the nurses at the Martha Siekman Cancer Center. Also, Bob's Hospice team Rhonda, Marie and Cindy for their compassion and caring. Bob you were the love of my life and my best friend. You will forever have a place in my heart.
