  Donald Phillip Larsen, 77, of New London, passed away Friday, September 18, 2009, after a car accident in Kentucky. He was born January 22, 1932 in Saxeville, Wisconsin, son of the late Phillip and Ruby (McFaul) Larsen. He served in the Air Force from 1951 to 1955 as a jet engine mechanic. He married Mary (Rohloff) in 1956 who preceded him in death. He had a number of self employment ventures-tree trimmer, mechanic and junk yard owner, but was primarily a long haul truck driver for Hillshire Farms and others. In retirement, Don was a flea market vendor, liked to fish, play cards and talk with his friends at the Corner Cafe and Highway Hop. Don is survived by his daughter, Becky (Chris) Hureau Colorado Springs CO, and son, Dan (Cheryl) Larsen Phenix City AL, sisters, Micky (Sam) Stafford Missouri, Janet (Dave) Doughty, Janice (Ed) Moeller, Sandra (Terry) Herter all of New London WI, brothers, Fay (Ann) Larsen New London WI and Ted Larsen Waupaca WI, six grandchildren, Alex Hureau, Donald (Melissa) Larsen, Jonathan (Stephanie) Larsen, Damien, Nathan, and Holly Riehl and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by former wife Charlotte (Ravey) Larsen and six step-children, many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip and Ruby Larsen, brothers Jackie Larsen, David Larsen, Laverne Larsen, sisters Verlea (Russ) Barden, and Phyllis (Leo) Guyette. A memorial service for Donald will be held at the Main Chapel at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King on Wednesday, September 30, 2009, at 1:30 p.m. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Burial will follow with full military honors in Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
