Betty J. Williams, 75, of Oshkosh, passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2009, at Mercy Medical Center. Betty was born on October 27, 1934, a daughter of the late Edward and Rose Hedtke. On March 9, 1957, she married Philip D. Williams in Oshkosh. He preceded her in death on July 24, 2009. Betty was a member of Bethany United Church of Christ. She worked at the Telephone Company, Budgetel Inn and was a caregiver in her home. She was a "Red Hat Lady" loved listening to gospel and country music, and playing cards. Survivors include her son, Thomas E. (Pam) Williams, Oshkosh; three daughters: Cynthia R. (Tim) Kulinski, Oshkosh; Cheryl A. (David) Klinger, Appleton; Renea D. (Jay) Paulick, Oshkosh; two brothers: Donald (Joan) Hedtke, Oshkosh; Gerald (Mary Kay) Hedtke, Freedom; two sisters: Marjorie Hedtke, Oshkosh; Elaine (James) Christilaw, Oshkosh; a sister-in-law, Trudy Jones, Oshkosh; nine grandchildren: Joe and Katie Kulinski, Rob, Dan and Charlie Williams, Marisa and Melanie Wagner all of Oshkosh; Michael and Kathleen Klinger of Appleton. Along with her husband Philip, Betty was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Dennis and Robert Hedtke; two sisters: Jane Hedtke and Shirley Coates and a grandson, Mitchell Wagner. Private services will be held with Rev. Kevin Mundell officiating. Interment will be at Lake View Memorial Park. A memorial has been established to Bethany United Church of Christ.
