  Whitenack, Myrna J. (Smith, Gensler) (nee: Ray) Myrna J. Whitenack went home to her Lord Tuesday morning April 19, 2010. She was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church, Appleton. Myrna was a very involved mother, Den mother and Girl Scout Leader. She taught her children and their many friends to ice skate. The boys were involved with city baseball and Darlene with dancing. Later in life she was very active in her church and made a trip to the Holy Land, also England and Ireland. She and her husband Gordy traveled all over the U.S. to visit her scattered grandchildren. Myrna loved to dance and enjoyed taking her "older" friends for a night of dancing. She is survived by her son, Donald S. (Fay) Smith, Appleton; daughter, Darlene "Dee" (Arland) Relien, Greenville; seven grandchildren: Kelly (Walt) Brownsward, CT; Tracey (Andrew) Klein, NV; Kim (Wayne) Phillips, Greenville; Scott (Aryany) Smith, Abrahms; Cynthia (Gary) Keuschel, Shawano; Gary Eberhard, Jr., Clintonville; Marcia (fiance Michael) Switser, Shawano; six great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson, Roland Switser. She was preceded in death by Mr. Lyle (Alice Angus) Ray, two brothers: Donald and Angus Ray, two sisters: Patricia Eckstein and Nila Pegel and two sons: Randy Gensler and Ronald "Bucky" Smith. A memorial service for Myrna will be held on Thursday, April 22, 2010, at 7 p.m. at Valley Funeral Home, with Dr. Doyle Blanton officiating. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday from 6 p.m. until the time of the service. A memorial fund is being established in her name. The family would like to thank Jason and all the staff at Heartwood Homes, especially Patty for the loving care you showed to our mother. Valley Funeral Home 2211 N.
