Age 63 passed away peacefully at home Saturday April 8, 2006 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Ellington on August 25, 1942 to Robert Sr. and Delia (Hoier) Immel. Robert married Donna Lautenschlager on June 2, 1962 at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Hortonville. R.J. and his wife started R.J. Immel Excavating in 1973. He retired in 2000 and was very proud to have his children continue the business. R.J. loved spending time with his family at the pond. He also enjoyed watching Nascar and ?DaBears? with his buddies in the shed. R.J. was a member of the Greenville Fire Department, Greenville Civic Club and was very involved with the Greenville Youth Sports. He assisted in building the original baseball diamonds in Greenville. Robert is survived by his wife Donna; his children and their families: Todd (Patti) Immel, Melissa & Brandon; Randy (Penny) Immel, Nichole & Tim; Troy (Kris) Immel, Danny & Breanna; Rainie (Derrick) Wasmund, Austin, Blaze & Taj all of Greenville; sister Donna Mae Immel; mother-in-law Florence Gabriel; sisters and brothers-in-law: Ruth Immel, Ione Berg, Charles & Lucelle Lautenschlager, Eugene & Virg Lautenschlager, Don & Margaret Parker, Gary & Ann Krueger. Uncle Bobby is further survived by many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Duane & Donald Immel; grandsons:Travis & Andrew Immel; and father-in-law Herbert Gabriel. Funeral services will be held at 6:00pm on Tuesday April 11, 2006 at Shepherd of the Hills Church, Greenville with Pastor Randy Laux officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:00pm until the time of service at the church. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy a memorial fund is being established. Dad, I will always Love You! Mom. Grandpa, We will miss spending our special time with you at the pond. And when I leave you, he said, Do not be sad. I will go to one of the stars. And when you look up to the night sky, I will be there, looking for you, Twinkling and smiling and laughing. R.J.?s family would like to thank Amy and all the staff of ThedaCare at Home Hospice.
