  Betty Jane Klitzke, age 90, of Appleton, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at Brewster Village, Appleton. Betty was born February 18, 1925, to the late Ben and Bertha (nee' Colbo) Kiefer. The former Betty Kiefer married Vernon Klitzke, who preceded her in death. Betty loved to socialize with people, especially with her neighbors on Glendale Avenue. She is survived by two nieces, Judy (Donald) Dake and Susan (Tim) of Illinois; two nephews, Jerry, (Ann) Brandt and David (Melissa) Brandt. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Vernon, and son, Steve. A funeral service for Betty will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 21, 2015, at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N Richmond Street, Appleton, with the Rev. Leon Knitt officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
