  July 3 - The death of Mrs Joseph Knier which occurred at her home in the town of Rantoul on Monday morning caused general sorrow in the community. Some weeks ago Mrs. Knier used a razor to pare a corn which had been bothering her and shortly after blood poisoning set in and she gradually grew worse until death came. She was born in Cleveland, Manitowoc county and in the seventies was married to Mr. Knier shortly after coming to this vicinity where she resided until the final summons came. The funeral took place on Wednesday from St. Mary's church with interment in St. Mary's cemetery. Chilton Times July 12, 1913
