  Donald Meyer, age 82, of King, previously of Neenah, died from complications caused by C.O.P.D. on Sunday, April 7, 2013. He was born May 22, 1930, in Neenah to the late William and Agnes (Hammes) Meyer. On June 17, 1950, Don married Hanayo Hoshino in Hawaii. A Korean War veteran, Don worked with Menasha Corporation until his retirement. Don enjoyed fishing, hunting, baseball, the Packers, driving long distances, meeting people and his family. Don is survived by his wife, Hanayo Meyer, of King; his children: Michael (Anita) Meyer of Indianapolis, IN, Tosia Meyer of Tigerton, WI, Marshall (Joanna) Meyer of Kempner, TX; his grandchildren: Michael Meyer, Brianna Meyer, Stacie Thyrion, Krista Thyrion, Mitchell Meyer Jr, Christina Rose, Gabriel Lopez and David Lopez; 12 great-grandchildren; one brother Richard Meyer of Neenah, two sisters Joan (Archie) Hinahara of Neenah and Sandy (Don) Rissie of Neenah and many other nieces, nephews, and family. Along with his parents, Don was preceded in death by his son, Mitchell and four brothers, John, Robert, Eugene and Tom. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. at the Olson Hall Chapel at the WI Veterans Home at King, WI. Visitation will be at 12:30 p.m. also at the chapel. In lieu of flowers, gifts can be made to the WI Veterans Home at King. Don's family wishes to thank the caring staff at the WI Veterans Home at King, especially those on Olson 5.
