Mary M. Kortz, 71, died Thursday September 29, 2011 at Bellin Health Center. She was born in Appleton, November 13, 1939, daughter of the late Fernald and Lorraine (Warner) Cavert. Mary loved making handmade quilts, but more than making them she loved to give them away. One year each family member received a beautiful handmade quilt for Christmas. For many years she would donate a quilt to a ladies outreach. She enjoyed spending time with her Grandchildren, canning, making cookies, and special treats. With all our hearts, We Love You Mom. Mary is survived by her four children; Penny (Robert) Benzschawel, Chilton; Terry Manka, Menasha; Tim (Rhonda) Manka, Black Creek; and Tammy Manka, Neenah; 12 Grandchildren; Tara; Cherry; Amanda; TJ; Bobbie; Tonya; Stephanie; Dieshon; Samuel; Cortisha; Eric; and Kate; 12 Great-Grandchildren; Bryson; Tanisha; Ramon; Ferando; Chayanna; Naome Rose; Juanito; Isaiah; Treishon; Isaiah; Eli; and Ramiyah; two brothers; Robert (Barb) Cavert, Sherwood; and Russell (Sandy) Kamine, Iola; two sisters; Ellen Cavert, Appleton; and Diane (Clyde) Yarne, Brillion. She was preceded in death by a daughter; Peggy Cottrell; and seven brothers and sisters. A celebration of Mary's life will be held Sunday October 2, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the VALLEY FUNERAL HOME. Visitation will be at the Funeral Home on Sunday beginning at 11:00 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers please bring non-perishable food items to be donated to the Salvation Army.
