  Age 89, of New London, died Saturday September 29, 2012. He was born on May 2, 1923 in New London, son of the late Arthur & Leona (Seefeldt) Gorges. Cliff served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1946 when he was honorably discharged. On August 23, 1947 he was united in marriage to Mary Schneider. He was a resident of New London most of his life and was employed at Borden's for many years. He was also a resident of Spring Hill, Florida for 23 years until moving back to New London in 2010. He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary. Three daughters, Sharon (Jim) Reed, Mesquite, Nevada, Barbara (Paul) Baldwin, Mellen, WI, Darcie (Robert) Lehman, New London. Grandchildren, Brett (Rhea) Romberg, Shawano, Megan (Adam) Helt-Baldwin, Milwaukee, Devon Lehman, Denver, Colorado, greatgrandchild Jacob Romberg, Shawano. One brother, Melvin (June) Gorges, Appleton. One sister, Joan Polley, New London. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law Arlene & Orville Johnson and brother-in-law Richard Polley. The Funeral Service for Clifford will be held at 11:00a.m. Tuesday October 2, 2012 at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London with the Rev. Marcus Schulz officiating. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 9:00a.m. until the time of service
