She was born June 1, 19 10 in Appleton, daughter of the late Joseph and Mayme (Giesbers) Grassl.She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and belonged to bridge cl ubs in Appleton and Ohio.Surviving are three sons and a daughter-in-law: Robert, Middletown, OH; Al an and Pauline, Middletown, OH: John, Boulder Creek, CA; a brother and sis ter-in-law: Ed and Patricia Grassl, Appleton; two sisters and a brother-in -law: Leona and Roger Trask, Appleton; two grandchildren: John Zuehlke a nd Mary (Tim) Rettig; a great-grandson, Ethan John Rettig.Preceding Virginia in death was a brother, Elmer and a sister, Evelyn Barn etzke.Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday, August 30, 20 04 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with The Rev. Robert Karuhn officiatin g. Burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery.
