  Byron C. Fink, 80, of 1112 Manila St., Manitowoc, died Wednesday at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc, following an extended illness. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Norval W. Kock will officiate with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. Mr. Fink was born Oct. 8, 1894, at Portage, son of the late Charles and Louise Klapstein Fink. He married Irene Miers Feb. 27, 1919, at Baraboo, moving to Manitowoc in 1919. He worked for A.M. Richter Sons Vinegar Co. for 40 years, first driving a team of horses and was their first truck driver, retiring in 1963. After his retirement from the company he was caretaker at Richter's Gardens for 11 years. He was a member of First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, a violinist in the church orchestra and member of the Men's Choir for many years. He was also a member of Manitowoc Musicians Assn. and a former member of Brewers and Malsters Union. Survivors include his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Fred A. (Dorothy) Struck, of Fair Oaks, Calif,; a son-in-law and daughter, Harold M. and Elaine Anderson, and a sister, Mrs. Ellen Olson, of Manitowoc; 13 grandchildren and six great grand- children and two sisters-in-law. Mrs. Katherine Fink, of Manitowoc and Mrs. Anna Miers, of Warrens, WIs., several nephews, nieces and cousins. A brother, Nelson, and a son-in-law, Fred Struck, preceded him in death. Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, State Street chapel, Manitowoc, from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday and at the church Saturday from noon until the time of service.
