  uneral services for Bernard Marasch, who died at his home on Lincoln street, at 10:30 April 25 at the age of 71, were held Monday afternoon by the Rev. Ad. Spiering. Burial was in Floral Hill cemetery. Mr. Marasch was born Jan. 25, 1853 in Posen, Germany. When a child, he came to this country with relatives, making his home in Manitowac and other places. He married Minnie Rhusam in 1873. Moving to New London he established a meat market in 1876, which he conducted for six years. His wife died in 1881 leaving four small children. One died in infancy. Later he married Mary Buboltz and their union was blessed with four children, all of whom survived but John who died three years ago. Mr. Marasch moved onto a farm in Maple Creek in 1882 and has since resided on different farms, until six years ago, when he moved to New London to retire. Two weeks ago he was taken ill with the third attack of gall stones this winter, with which he suffered until the time of his death. he is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Ida Volk and Mrs. Clara Runge, four sons, William, Edward, Albert, and Joseph, 19 grandchildren and 6 great-grand children.
