  Greg N. Struensee age 51 of Creighton, South Dakota, died December 19, 1998, near Creighton, South Dakota Greg N. Struensee was born July 17, 1947, at Oshkosh, Wisconsin, the son of Nathan and Vivian (Bonnett) Struensee.He grew up on a farm near Appleton, Wisconsin, and graduated from Neenah High School in 1965.As a young man he farmed near Appleton and also drove a milk truck, hauling milk from dairy farmers in that community.He married Carol Luedtke and to this union were born three sons, David, Daniel, and Darwin.In the early 1970s, he moved to Pierre and Highmore, South Dakota, areas where he worked for Dr. Swanson on the Swanson Ranch and he also managed the Swanson Goose Camp. In the early 1980s, he moved to Canton, South Dakota, where he worked as an over-the-road truck driver for Willer's Trucking, a position he held until becoming employed with Engel's Trucking Company of Worthington, Minnesota.Greg later purchased his own tractor and contracted with Action Carriers of Sioux Falls.Greg was united in marriage to Jeanie Eutsler-Hummell on July 12, 1986, at LaCrosse, Wisconsin.They made their home in LaCrosse, but continued to run the east-west coast until October of 1986. They moved to Appleton, Wisconsin, where he managed Apple Hill Farm and also owned and operated Struensee Custom Combining until fulfilling his long-time dream of moving back to South Dakota and settling in the Creighton area where he became the manager of Apple Hill Ranch. He also continued his custom combining business in the Creighton, Wall, Philip, and Milesville areas.Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Jeanie Struensee of Creighton; four sons, David Struensee and his wife, Gina, and Daniel Struensee and his wife, Heidi, all of Appleton, Wisconsin, Darwin Struensee of New London, Wisconsin, and Christopher Hummell and his wife, Stacey, of Green Bay, Wisconsin; one daughter, Angela Hummell and her special friend, Rick Schroeder, both of Creighton; six grandchildren; his parents, Nathan and Vivian Struensee of Appleton, Wisconsin; and a host of other relatives and friends.Greg was preceded in death by a son, Leland Hummell, and his grandparents.
