  An inquest jury yesterday afternoon at the courthouse found that William Tracy, 24, 1455 W. Prospect avenue, who was fatally hurt when struck by a car driven by Lloyd Middlestadt, 19, 609V W. College avenue, died as the "result of an "unavoidable accident." The verdict read that "William Tracy was hit by a car on May 25, 1940. He was crossing W College avenue in the middle of the 300 block and struck by a Town taxi in an unavoidable accident." Middlesladt testified that he had just discharged a passenger about 1 o'clock on the morning of May 25 and \\vas proceeding cast when Tracy stepped into the path of his car. He said he stopped the machine about six feet from where Tracy was lying after the accident. Laverne and Lucille Bcschta, 303 S. Douglas street, testified that Tracy spoke to them just before Ihe accident and said he was, going .a cross the street to a restaurant, -averne said she saw thc accident was imminent at Tracy started over he street and that she called to lim, trying to warn him.
