  Wayne Reetz, 82, Appleton, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2016. Wayne was born in Appleton July 17, 1934 to Carl and Ruth (Purdy) Reetz. Wayne was a graduate of Appleton West High School, class of 1952. In 1957 he joined the United States Army and served as an Honor Guard until March of 1959. On June 27, 1959 Wayne married Eleanor Yoses and they were blessed with four children. He drove semi for over 40 years and retired from Ashland Chemical Co. in 1996. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting in his younger years and passed this on to his only son Steven. Wayne also enjoyed playing cribbage, doing crossword puzzles and the occasional casino trip with Eleanor. Wayne will be greatly missed by his four children: Steven (Lisa) Reetz; Theresa Reetz (Raymie DeWall), Julie (Bill) Peterson and Jenny (Dave) Grapentine; grandchildren: Jessica, Patrick (Kathryn), Billy (Shannon), Alisha (Jason), Nick, Crystal (Zach) and James; 7 great grandchildren; two brothers: Gerald (Rose) Reetz and Jim (Carla) Reetz. Wayne was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor whom passed away this past April; his parents: Carl and Ruth; siblings: Betty Lou, Ronald and Gail. Our Dad was a quiet gentle man often watching from the sidelines with a smile on his face. Though so very quiet, he always greeted all with a sweet "Hi Hon' or a 'Hey Bud'. We love you Dad and miss you but we know that you are with Mom again eternally. A Time of Celebration for Wayne will be held on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017 from 11 AM - 2 PM at Brettschneider Trettin-Nickel Funeral Chapel. Our family would like to thank all the second-floor staff at Oak Park Place Assisted Living and to Affinity Hospice for the compassionate care given to our Dad these past few months.
