  All 4 sons of William Vogelsandg and Petronella Friens emigrate to the USA in 1869 from Maashees (ages 15, 14, 10 and 9). Probably together with their stepbrother Lambert Vervoort, 22 years. He was the son of Martin Vervoort who married their stepmother Jacoba Poels in 1863. Jan born 8/27/1853, Jan Mathijs born 3/21/1855, Gerard born 8/7/1857, Martin born 1/7/1860 all born in Sevenum. Jan Mathijs, born in 1855, is married ca. 1897 to Rosa Sheep. He had at least 2 children with her. From 1880 onwards he lived in North Dakota, mostly in Morton county. --- Son Martin, born in 1860, is a sad boy. He came to America with his brothers. They all came to uncle George Vogelsang who alread lived in Preble. But in the 1870 census Martin lived in the Wisconsin Industrial School for Boys in Waukesha. Where his brothers still lived at uncle George's. I don't know why he lived there. Maybe he was a 'hand ful', or maybe the other boys could work for their living, and Martin was too young. I think he died young, because I could not find him in any later census.
