Jack Edward Prahl was a cherished son, husband, in-law, nephew, cousin and friend to everyone. Jack, Little Chute, age 69, passed to his heavenly kingdom peacefully in the arms of his loving wife Donna Mae on May 18, 2017 after a brief illness. Jack was born in Clintonville on March 3, 1948 to the proud parents, Edward and Gladys (Seefeldt) Prahl. He was born in one of the years worst snow storms. His dad had to follow the plow to get to the hospital. Jack attended grade and high school in Clintonville then went on to college in Menasha, Colorado and Stevens Point. Jack worked at FWD in Clintonville in purchasing for a while then went to Colorado and worked for Hewlett Packard until he got sick and had to come home to recover. He then worked at Mitchell Furniture in Clintonville until he moved to Little Chute to be with Donna Mae and worked in the Fox Valley area. Jack and Donna attended a 50th class reunion in Clintonville in October, 2016 with all of his classmates and had a really great time. Jack went to a singles group and met the love of his life, Donna Mae. He said the moment he laid eyes on her, she was the one. They had so much in common. They met in December of 1986 and married on July 2, 1988. They both loved Elvis so they went to Graceland for their honeymoon. Jack and Donna visited Memphis a total of 6 times, met a lot of Elvis' family and friends, and were invited to parties. They also travelled to Branson, Colorado, Michigan, Ohio and all through Wisconsin. Jack and Donna travelled to Washington DC with family and friends to attend the ordination of their nephew, Fr. Brian Sanderfoot. Jack was very proud of Fr. Brian. They also took many coach trips to the casinos with the Kimberly American Legion Auxiliary. Jack's outgoing personality ensured that he and Donna made friends everywhere they went. Within 10 minutes of talking with Jack, they were scheduling a get together. Jack had a lot of hobbies and interests. He loved trains and had a model set up in the basement and went to many train shows. He loved that the trains went right past their current apartment. Jack was also into science, religion, UFO's and Bigfoot. He was in contact with people around the world on these subjects and spent hours on the phone with them. Jack was a faithful and very religious person and prayed a lot for help through many trials. He said God always followed through except at the casino. Jack would say, "I guess God didn't think I needed it!" Jack is survived by his loving wife, Donna Mae (Sanderfoot) Prahl; his brother and sister-in-law, Ken and Norma Sanderfoot of Appleton; nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, many cousins and friends. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren that adopted Jack and Donna, Allie, Matt, Kyle and Mia. He was happy when they called him Grandpa Jack. Family and friends waiting to receive Jack into heaven to be with Jesus are his parents Edward and Gladys Prahl; father and mother-in-law: William and Elizabeth Sanderfoot; brother-in-law, Raymond "Butch" Sanderfoot; nephew, Jeff Sanderfoot; and grandparents, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held Monday, May 22, 2017 at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 E. Main St. Little Chute) from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at CHRIST THE KING LUTHERAN CHURCH (601 S. Washington St. Combined Locks) beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Nate Gauerke and Rev. Tim Krick will officiate. He will be buried at Split Rock Cemetery (next to the church his grandfather built) in Split Rock, WI. Thank you to the Affinity Hospice team, Faye, Ann and Cliff, for their concern, visits and thoughtfulness. She also extends her gratitude to all of their family and friends for their prayers, visits, calls, food and cards. A single thank you doesn't seem to be enough, but you are greatly appreciated. Jack, my husband, lover and friend, you were always there for me. When I worked weekends, you did the cooking (at Angels). When we met each other we both knew within 10 minutes that we wanted to be together for the rest of our lives. I loved you from that first meeting and will continue to love you til we meet in heaven. I will never forget you. You are my rock. Thank you for being my Hundu. Lots of love, hugs and kisses, Donna Mae. Jack will be missed dearly but you are now free of pain and suffering and I hope you play the slots and win big. Donna Mae I am home in heaven, dear ones; oh, so happy and so bright! There is a perfect joy and beauty in the everlasting light. All the pain and grief is over, every restless tossing passed; I am now at peace forever, safely home in heaven at last.
