  Greenville - Rose Marie Kamps, age 89, formerly of New London, passed away on Friday, June 29th, 2018 at Living Tree Estates, Greenville. She was born on April 21, 1929, the daughter of the late Erna and Herman Voss. Rose Marie married Raymond Kamps on January 6th, 1990 and they had an amazing retirement full of adventures. They made their home on Mosquito Hill in New London and in the 28 years that they were married, they attended many Packer football games and they travelled to yearly vacations in Jamaica and so many other countries. He preceded her in death in October of 2017. Prior to her marriage to Ray, Rose Marie worked for the Visiting Nurses Assn. She was especially happy when she found a client who would speak German with her. She enjoyed time with her family, grandchildren and even her grand "dogs". Her love of dogs included spending time with her daughter volunteering with Wisconsin Sheltie Rescue at events and travelling all over the country to dog shows. An occasional trip to the casino also brought a smile to her face. Her favorite "grand dog" Robin kept her company on her bed last week of her life. She is survived by her daughter Lisa Martin, Chilton, her step-daughters Diane (Bill) Riedl, Debra (Bill) Fermanich, stepson Chris (Cheri) Berg and son-in-law Jim Jaeger; grandchildren Chad, Eric, Holly, Christopher, Robert, Jessica, Crista, Cyndi and Caitie. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren, including the newest little one that she ran out of time to meet and one more on the way. She is further survived by her sister Lore Prien and brother Guenther Voss, several nieces and nephews as well as many of Ray's siblings and relatives who welcomed her to the Kamps family. The family would like to thank the compassionate and caring staff at Living Tree Estates in Greenville, WI for their care of both Rose Marie and Raymond during their residence. It was Rose Marie's final wish to be able to pass away at the same beautiful home where Ray did and that wish came true thanks to Jackie and Tom and the staff at Living Tree with the comforting care of a special hospice nurse, Brad. In lieu of a funeral service, a private ceremony and cremation burial will take place in Menominee, Michigan at a future date. A monthly pet therapy program is planned at Living Tree Estates in Ray and Rose Marie's memory. Dear Mom, I could not have asked for a more interesting life. Raising me by yourself could not have been easy, but you did it and we both survived and had wonderful times as mother and daughter. I'm so glad that once I was an adult, you found Ray and he could give you everything that you deserved. You were a great pair and I'm grateful that you chose a man who accepted me as his daughter as well. The last year that you lived with me while Ray was ill made us even closer and hopefully made it easier for you to be without him until he was well enough for you to live together again. For someone who never learned to use a computer, I have to tell you that you have been a regular on Facebook. I needed to take pictures of you all the time and tell your story so that everyone would see how amazing and genuine you were. My friends will miss the pictures and stories that I would tell about you, but I will keep them in my heart forever. I'm so glad you're with Ray again and I hope that you are surrounded by your dog friends to give treats to and you are able to eat KFC and drink rootbeer and Sanka every single day.
