  Doris Boldt Thomas, age 91, died peacefully with her six children at her side on July 12, 2014 in Muskegon, MI. She now resides in glory with her heavenly father. Doris was born on February 13, 1923 to the late Daniel and Erna (Kuhnel) Boldt. She was born and raised in Appleton where she lived for 80 years. Doris was the wife of Lawrence (Tom) Thomas to whom she was married for 42 years. She worked for Younkers for 40 years. After Doris retired at the age of 80, she moved to Muskegon, MI to live closer to her daughters. She was a member of Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church in Rockford, MI. Doris was survived by her six children: Barb Dahlke, Randy (Pauline) Thomas, Thomas Thomas, Scott (Linda) Thomas, Robert Thomas, and Robin Thomas; her adopted son: Daniel Pagel; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; brother: Dick (Sandy) Boldt and sister: Laverne (Jim) Tetzlaff. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers: Rodger and Daniel (Corrine) Boldt; sisters: Janie (Bill) Podoll, Carol (Gene) Smith, and Geraldine (Chuck) Wilson; and son-in-law Mark Dahlke. A Funeral Service for Doris will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, July 19, 2014, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, N2497 French Rd, Freedom. Friends may visit the family on Saturday from 9 AM until time of service at the church. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
