  Alvina E. Kobussen, age 95, passed away on Sunday, September, 18, 2011 at St. Paul Home in Kaukauna. She was born on May 26, 1916 to the late Karl and Louisa (Reichert) Paholke. She moved to Appleton in 1934 and worked as a housekeeper. On October 4, 1939 she was united in marriage to Harold Kobussen in a double wedding ceremony with her sister Emma. Together they lived in Kaukauna their entire married life. Bonnie was an Avon Sales Lady for several years in the Kaukauna area. She was an avid gardener and liked to crochet. Bonnie was a longstanding and faithful member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Kaukauna since 1951. She was active for many years in the bible study and prayer group as well as the prayer chain. Bonnie is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Karen (Michael) Van Cuyk, Appleton; 2 sisters-in-law: Ione Kobussen, Appleton and Helen Kobussen Dutkievic, Kaukauna. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harold, 11 brothers and sisters: Emily, Edward, Ferdinand, Olga, Otto, Lydia, Helen, Adolph, an infant brother Bernard, Walter, and Emma. She was further preceded in death by Harold's 6 brothers and sisters: Elwood Kobussen, Mildred Van Handel, Harvey Kobussen, Karl Kobussen, Dorothy Bowers, and Lee Kobussen. Funeral services for Bonnie will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at BETHANY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 124 W. 10th St., Kaukauna with Rev. Levi Willms officiating. Friends may call on Thursday directly at church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place in Highland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Bonnie's name is being established for Bethany Lutheran Church. BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Kaukauna is assisting the family. 766-2099.
