Matthew A. Minten, 90, 1221 Circle Drive, Ashwaubenon, died Friday Morning, Dec. 21, 1990 in a Florida hospital. He was born May 14, 1900 in De Pere to the late George and Anna (Verkuilen) Minten. On Aug. 18, 1931 he married the former Cecelia Bos in St. Boniface Church. She preceded him in death Nov. 23, 1983. Mr. Minten retired in 1965 as De Pere Park Superintendent after 15 years. He was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Harvey and Ione Minten, Sturgeon Bay; Richard and Anita Minten, Spring Hill, Fla; Robert and Lou, Sturgeon Bay; one daughter and son-in-law, Audrey and Tom Frisch, Ashwaubenon; 13 grandchildren; sever great-grandchildren; one brother, John Minten, Kimberly, six sisters and brothers-in-law; Mrs. Lou (Mary ) Ambrosius, De Pere, Mrs. Clarence (Lena) Verheyen, Sarasota, Fla.; Mrs. Roy (Nellie) Knowles, Green Bay; Mrs. Bernard (Agnes) VanEnkenvort; Mrs. Urban (Jeanette) Coenen, De Pere, Mrs. William (Johanna) Anderson, Green Bay; two sisters-in-law, Agatha Minten and Regina Minten, both of De Pere. He was preceded in death by three brothers and one grandson. Friends may call at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. 10th St, De Pere, after 4 p.m. Wednesday and after 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis Church, De Pere. Prayer service 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church with the Rev. Anthony Dolski officiating. Burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery
