  Fred J. Gerondale, 75, Suamico, passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2004, at a local hospital after a short illness. Fred was born Dec. 2, 1928, in Union Township, WI, to the late Frank and Elizabeth "Libbie" (Tebon) Gerondale. He served with the Merchant Marines from 1945-1947. On June 26, 1982, he married Carol J. Weycker in Suamico. Fred lived 23 years in Suamico and worked as an outstanding baker until he retired 2003. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, spending time at the cottage, watching and feeding the birds, and his dogs. Survivors include his wife, Carol, Suamico; his children, Fred D. (Kathie) Gerondale, Cindy (Michael) Steeno, all of Green Bay; Connie (Phil) Bruner, Lt. Chute; Thomas (Debbie) Gerondale, New Franken; their mother, Armella Gerondale, Green Bay; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; two brothers, Harold (Joyce) Gerondale, Green Bay; Darrel (Della) Gerondale, Ohio; one sister Esther (Norbert) Jeanquart, Brussels; brothers and sisters-in-law, Alice Gerondale, Three Lakes; Glen (Sharon) Weycker, Abrams; Roger Magnuson, Howard. He is further survived by several special nieces, nephews, friends, and his dog, Jaxon. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Elmer Gerondale, mother-in-law, Mildred Weycker and sister-in-law, Darlene Magnuson. The family will receive friends at the Pfotenhauer Funeral Home, Howard-Suamico Location, 1145 Cardinal Lane, on Thursday, July 22, from 3 until 7 p.m. Funeral Service 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
