  Former St. Anna Girl Called The many friends end relatives of Mrs. Michael L. Kees of St. John were shocked to learn of her sudden demise on Friday of last week. Hemorrhage of the brain is given as the cause, her sickness being of but one day duration. Mrs. Kees is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wenzel Zepnick. She was born May 7, 1893, at St. Anna. She resided with her parents until her marriage to Michael Kees on June 14, 1917 when they made their home on a farm near St. John. The funeral was held from the St. John church on Monday morning, Rev. Ruppold officiating with interment in the St. John cemetery. She leaves to mourn her untimely death, her husband, three children: Adelbert 3 years; Herman 2 years; Reta 1 year; besides her parents and three brothers and five sisters.
